  thanks ed - reported and insured. Posted more to console myself rather than in hope of seeing it again. The moral of the story is that there are desperate people out there that will take a big risks to take your bike....

  Had my 2 week old brompton stolen yesterday from my garage (live in Reading) while I was working in the house a couple of feet away. Some opportunist walked up the drive and helped themselves - they left the ss though. The bike is too new for me to have given it any distinguishing marks yet but I have put a saddlebag on which has a few tools in it. The bike is a brompton S2l in red. I have the frame number if anyone sees something.

  Just finished It's Only a Movie by Mark Kermode. Excellent read if you like the film reviews on BBC 5 Live. Now starting on a load of books for work...Strategy Maps...not looking like it is going to be a riveting read.

  yep - that is most likely coax. While it is going to be worth less, it is a whole lot more useful as it is easier to put connectors on, etc. I think this is the cable that has additional pairs (3?) also attached - useful if you want to run tv and phone to the shed...
