The wheels are in very good condition.
Hubs run smooth and wheel's run true to the eye.
Wheels have had light use on Track and in dry conditions on the road during a TT.
There are some slight surface marks, mainly from how they have been stored at home.
Tried to pick out the most prominent marks in photos. They are all very light on the surface.
Some signs of use around braking surface on the front wheel. Carbon specific brake pads were used.
Tyres were mounted with tape.Vittoria Pave EVO CG Tubular Tyres -Sold

Completed Brevet Cymru 400. It wasnt straight forward but its in the bag.
I fell around 10k trying to avoid a huge pot hole. I landed on my knee and elbow, I carried on riding and the elbow pain subsided but I had knee pain for the remaining 390k.
Weather was good up until around 150k then I got caught in a hail storm down a decent. Not pleasant into the face at high speed. It was so heavy, and the hail so big, that on one of the quiet roads it had settled and was completely white, it looked like it could have been mid january.
From that point it was raining a fair amount of the way. The most torrential of which was through the night. I was drenched for a good 13/14 hours. Riding through the night became more difficult when my dynamo decided not to work so I was left with just my back up cat eye light. Luckily it saw me through.
I got into a good group with two guys over from ireland which helped. We really worked hard and got to the 350k mark before 00:30. We ended up over indulging in the heat and hospitality of the community centre, then got a bit lost and added on some unnecessary miles and didnt finish until 5ish. I was so wet for so long, the final few hours were horrible in truth. My legs were shaking uncontrollably it was so cold on the descents. Some saddle friction was also causing me great discomfort as well to top things off.
I was initially a little dissapointed with finishing outside of 22hrs, but now I think about the conditions and problems I had I cant sniff at being inside the top 20 finishers (Regardless of how much before me some of them may have finished).
I feel ok today, apart from my bruised knee and horrific saddle sores. I did look pretty ridiculous dawdling along at snails pace from paddington whincing and grimicing as I went. Hopefully I will recover quickly, I hate having time off my bike.
3/4 of the way to the SR, if I manage to complete BCM in two weeks it will be 3 months since riding my first audax.

TSK - I intended to ride it as it is a relatively convenient start from near london. However, I arranged to go riding in the peak district with a friend a long time ago so I can not make it.
I think im going to attempt Brevet Cymru and BCM at the start of May. Just looking into the finer details of sleeping arrangements now. Any resonibily priced recommendations in the chepstow area anyone?
