Hiya.. Jim here (was in the red jacket). Good to meet you folks last night - a great way to spend a few hours! Didn't get to say good-bye, as just as I was coming out of the toilets I got stopped by a rasta guy complete with massive dreadlocks who noticed the cycling gear and wanted a bit of a chat.. he was full of admiration for the fixies! Just as I was finishing chatting to him Steve came past and said we needed to get going.. so that was that.
Will try and make it to some of the rides and more beers in the future! Cheers!

I was following CasaSteve and he really went down pretty hard.. just heading into a narrow, tight corner and before I knew it there was a "ping" and he was sprawling across the road in front of me. Lucky no cars trying to pass at the time - traffic came to a halt!
I definitely think he needs to go back to them. This kind of fault after 18 months just isn't acceptable.
Howdy! My two bikes..
2008 Giant Bowery. Fairly standard but has Ultegra brake callipers and koolstop pads. Running it fixed with SPD pedals (not pictured) which seems like a good combo - I certainly enjoy riding it. Need to ditch the weird "suspension" seatpost at some point and get a better saddle, and quite like the thought of a better wheelset at some point but.. for now no real plans!
My roadbike :) Built earlier this year.. my first attempt at a bike build of any kind (having only previously changed innertubes and stuff) and it all went great. It's a Planet X High Modulus carbon nanolight frame, full shimano 105 5700 groupset (and 105 spd-sl pedals), Mavic Aksium wheelset, FSA omega compact drops, FSA SL-K seatpost, Charge Spoon Ti saddle.. umm.. and a few other bits I don't remember. Really happy with how it all turned out! Looking forward to putting some miles on it over the summer :)
