I realise this is a little late but maybe a good idea for future use (like an anniversary??). Sticking with the experience day theme but keeping in mind his love of mountain biking and all things outdoors, how about a cycling tour of somewhere? You could either do the whole thing through a company like treatme.net or you could just book tickets for them and their bikes on the eurostar and let them decide the route. Throw in some cycle route maps of the area you're sending them to and hey presto, a geat gift. Hope that helps and the wedding went well :o)
