• Wanted: Brake lever and cable

  HI, i can't start a new thread so i'll do it on this one..

  Im looking for a V brake / calliper brake lever that is not a cyclo cross lever that has a 31.8mm clamp. Any suggestions? I'm not having much luck finding one. Is there a way of modifying a standard brake lever?

• Loose Phil Wood bottom bracket

  Not sure if this a bit of a newbish question, anyway.. was thinking about getting a new bottom bracket, and aspiring to get a phil woods/chris king. I noticed on wiki that fixed bikes could..

  Even if a bottom bracket lockring is threaded onto the hub along with a track sprocket, because the bottom-bracket lockring is not reverse threaded, the possibility still exists that both the sprocket and locknut can unscrew.

  I was wondering if bottom brackets are more likely to get hammered with all the reverse pedaling, so will a nice new bottom bracket have a much lesser lifespan when on a fixie?
