CTUK is looking for a Cycle Maintenance Project Manager. You can find out more about it here:

Remember that there is a £300 bursary available for training to be a cycle instructor from Cycling England.
    Here:
    www.bikeability.org.uk/professionals/instructor_bursaries.php

(So whatever training provider you go for, you will get £300 - only covers England though).

One of the things we (CTUK) are trying to find out is how much funding is left for cycle training. On the neg side there was a finite pot set aside also talk about reaching a saturation point. On the plus side the gov does seem to be saying that you get more bang for your buck when you invest in cycling. The Lib Dem guy Norman Baker talks about cycling and cash on the Guardian podcast here:

**Betty's Bike Stolen 13.00 today outside Brixton Cycles **
One of our instructors Betty got her 17 inch blue Raleigh royal blue mountain bike (with a howies sticker, Brixton cycles sticker, wheels for wellbeing sticker) stolen at about 13:00 today.
It has Mavic 717 rims with fat smooth tyres. Deore V brakes, shifters and mech but with a single small chain ring on the front (maybe 36?)

Betty needs this bike to teach kids!!!

Bike has been found. The kids are alright! Thanks

It is me! (How did you guess). I was wondering about the phone thing. That's great about Gabes. Just to let you know I've also contacted Matt at the LHBPA and they might be able to help.

That would be great PF. (I work with skydancer) The court is the multi court one right beside the tennis courts. It has wire around it but I didn't notice if the wire went all the way to the bottom. The surface looked pretty flat to me when I was there. Cheers

Balki - If you are paying privately , yes we charge an extra £6 - if the riders are of a similar skill level (we call it 'paired riding). If you can though try and go through a subsidised area and get 1:1. You'll get more out of it.
    best,

    Hi
I'm from Cycle Training UK and a vestal fixie (soon to be rectified). I just want to say that if you are interested in training with us (2 hour lesson) we offer subsidised rates in the following areas (live/work or study in the area to qualify):
City - training for £8 (two hours). If you do the training the maintenance courses (day courses) are £8 too .Brent - free training. Hammersmith & Fulham - £5. Waltham Forest - Free. Lambeth - £8. Hackney - free. Haringey - £5. Lewisham - £10

If you don't live in a funded borough we can offer a fixed gear special offer: 20% off our normal rate - £24 per hour £48 per lesson.
    Best,
