how did he recover it and how did he know it was stolen.... ?? obvious question i know, but it needs telling.

Hello, everyone. The bike pictured above has been recovered by a mate of mine. We're convinced that its owner is missing it. Any one recognise it? Got any suggestions of any other places to trawl for its owner?
