I have a pair of oury grips in purple. Bought these a while ago, put them on some handlebars but never used them. The condition is therefore as new. Price = £8
I wont post these. Collection either somewhere close to Liverpool or Holborn underground stations.

These here but without the bag or sticker...

    hey

so i've got an old raleigh dawn roadster (bought on here) which was running smoothly until about the gears no longer worked. As I dont mind using one gear I left it and it had been working fine. Few days ago however it made some gruesome noises and packed in. Brought it to my local bike shop and they tell me the sturmey archer hub is bust. A hub is hard to get hold of and would require building it to the wheel at a cost of around £100+. So the cheapest option ended up being buying a new wheel with a single freewheel cog - £65.
Question for you... is this my best option? Does anyone maybe have a complete raleigh 26" wheel with 3speed hub for sale?! Are the prices reasonable?

    appreciate your advice!!!!!

    Thanks for all the advice!!

If I had a bit of time and some tools I would have a crack at it but just need to get it fixed asap.

I'll give LMNH a call and see what they say... have a feeling I will need some parts and not sure if they would have them.

I really just need some old mans bike shop, no frills.

Platini - I live in uni halls by spitalfields.

lynx - Unfortunately I have no idea how these hubs work so finding it hard to figure out what exactly went wrong. The metal cylinder itself is lose, there is a lot of friction when turning the wheel and its running as though it were fixed (back wheel turns as pedals do). That is all I know!

hartxander & bodie- thanks ill check out BLB but I imagine 14 would be too expensive.

    Hey

I'm a proud owner of a 60s Raleigh Dawn Roadster but it seems that my 3 speed Sturmey Archer hub has died on me. Not an expert with a bike like this but the hub has come lose and the back + front cogs seem to be working like a fixed but with a lot of friction (I realise that makes little sense).

Anyway, I cant afford to get the tube/bus to uni so am in need of a bike workshop somewhat close to liverpool street station / brick lane area. Anyone have any suggestion? Somewhere cheap and easy? Help is much appreciated.
