Get a good brand of protein powder, such as ON, on hand to help with the recovery after a good ride or w/o session. Keep a supply of BCAA (Branch Chain Amino Acid) (the gel caps only) on hand for both* before* and after exercise. This is a very good way to maximize the benefits of any workout, don't let any workout go to waste!

big up [as i believe the youngsters say today] to Michelin krylions - they're folders and feels more like a road tyre than the armadillo and gatorskin and not even a nick on the casing - i love 'em! you can pick up a pair on some of the ebay shops for about 25 notes
Krylion's were some super tyres, till this spring. Then the Michelin folks decided to move the manufacturing from France -> THAILAND. The reports that have been coming in regarding Thai Krylions are horrible; lots of flats and tears. If you have a supply of the French tyres, you are in good shape. Otherwise you may wish to look elsewhere....

Immobilise registration is very generalised. I would go with a free public registry like BikeRegistry.com. Even if all the serial #'s are filed off and all the decals are peeled off, the frame material, frame size, wheel size, manufacturer, etc will act as DNA to enable identification/search and possible recovery.

A used Bontrager may fit the bill. A unique look, usually at a really good price...
