  6 grand! what the hell happened to you?

  Broken shoulder, 6 months of TFL travel cards, repairs to the bike, clothes and emotional distress. It was actually 6 and a half grand. Must say, two years on, the shoulder still hurts in days like today, wet and cold.

  This is my first post. I've been following this forum for some time now, but this is my very first post.

  I had an accident in June 2007. I was travelling close to the kerb and as I approach a junction a car coming in the opposite direction turns right illegally and knocks me of my bike fracturing my left shoulder and other minor bruises. I got all the details from the driver, a fellow cyclist who saw the incident offered to be a witness, the police and an amubalce were called. The police was very helpful. I got £6589 compensation. Is a lot of money, but I still suffer from pain on my injured shoulder on cold days and I've got about 90% range on it.
  That's my story. If anyone needs it, I hope not, I can give the details of the solicitors that took my case on a no win no fee basis. Ah,it took almost 13 month to get the payment.
