**Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Southwark .
Police were called around 09:50 hrs on Tuesday 9 March to reports of a tipper lorry in collision with a pedal cyclist in Weston Street, Southwark, SE1.
LAS attended and the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. We believe we know the identity of the dead man who was 21 yrs. He has not yet been formally identified.A post mortem examination will be held at Greenwich Public Mortuary, a date is awaited.
An Inquest will open in due course.A man in his 30's was arrested at the scene. He has been bailed to return pending further investigation.
The incident is being investigated by the Collision Investigation Unit at Catford Traffic Garage.

Traffic officers are appealing for witnesses and information after a cyclist died following a collision with a bus in central London.
Police were called at approx 23:00hrs on Wednesday 11 November to reports of a bus and a cyclist in collision on Southampton Row, at the junction with in Theobalds Road WC1.
Officers, Ambulance Service and Fire Brigade all attended and the discovered a woman suffering serious injuries.
The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to Royal London Hospital in a critical condition.
She was later transferred to the St George's Hospital where she died on Sunday 22 November.
She was Dorothy Rose Elder, 22 (14/11/86), a student living in Whitechapel.
An inquest opened at St Pancras Coroner's Court on 25 November and adjourned to 1 June 2010.
The incident is being investigated by the Collision Investigation Unit at Euston Traffic Garage.
Collision Investigators are keen to keen for any witnesses that were in and around the area at the time of the incident. In particular they are keen to hear from a Hackney Carriage driver and his fares who where dropped of near the scene around the time of the collision.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a road traffic collision on Wednesday 12th November 2009.
At approximately 23:04 hours, a female cyclist was in collision with a bus on Theobalds Road at the junction with Southampton Row WC1N.
LAS attended and the 22-year-old female cyclist was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital. She is currently being treated for a crushed pelvis and her condition is described as critical but stable (non attrib).
No arrests made and enquiries continue.
