    Hi all,

Just a quick note to say Many, thank you very much for all your support, ordered the Thorn Chain ring, new rear cog and chain from SJS, they came next day, fitted them myself and they look and work great, all for a shade over £70:00, saved me a fortune and I know have a safe bike that rides, oh so sweet once again, will post a picky once I have cleaned all his weeks road dirt off her.

Once again thanks again for all the support, I assure you it was deeply appreciated, as I was fearing severe open wallet surgery,

Kind Regards & Best Wishes, Ashe.

Yep it'll work and probably also last longer.

Don't forget to change your chain a the same time.

Thanks thats a relief, and a cost saving, not going to have to replace the complete drive train, one final thing while I have your attention, going to order a compatible chain along with the Thorn Chain Ring, from SJS, any suggestions on what chain to go along with it, not to worried about cost now, once again many thanks for your time in this matter,

    kind Regards - Ashe

Inner or outer doesn't matter with those rings. They're the same (stronglight Dural) as I posted (but more expensive).

Really like the look of the Thorn Ring as it's black, not bothered it's a few pennies more, but could you let me know if it will work as a single speed/Fixed Wheel set up, very much appreciate your time in this matter,

    Kind Regards - Ashe

Also saw this one at SJS made by Thorn, this would be great, but don't know if it would work on my bike as a single speed fixie,

Sjs is A very good retailer. Strong light 110bcd in various sizes

Hi again, Chak, that is fantastic, but would that work on a single speed fixed wheel, as I need a 44 tooth chain wheel, and that specifies they do one, but SJS specify the the 44 tooth one as an inner, really don't want to order the wrong thing, and spend time re-ordering when my ride is in such dangerous shape now.

Many thanks for your support, I assure you it is deeply appreciated,

    Kind Regards, Ashe

PS also you don't know if there is anyone who supplies one in black as my current crank and chain wheel are in black and silver would look slightly odd.

    Hey all,

I have a two year old Create Fixed gear that I have modified quite heavily, however the bottom crank an chain ring are the originals. Because I use it daily to get to and about work, he chain ring and chain are now badly worn and I need to replace them, however after taking it to a bike shop I have been told that to replace the chain ring I need to find a 110BCD, after going online I have been unable to find one.

I don't want to replace the how crank just the chain ring as the current one has served me well and does the job.

Is there anyone out there who can tell me if:

    A) - The bike shop is indeed correct and I do need a 110BCD chain ring for a Create Bike ???

    and

    B) - If this is case where can I actually buy one from ???

I am getting quite desperate now, as I think it is becoming quite unsafe to ride but, I need it desperately for work, so as you can see I am in a bit of a pickle.

Many thanks for your kind thoughts and information on this matter, I look forward to hearing your replies.

    Kind Regards - Ashe Medforth
