+1 with Hatbeard - that's how I use mine through the rear triangle. Tight fit, but nowt's getting in there to bust it open.

Will did my wheels for my fixed - been spot on, and had a rim replaced last year (bent it on the flippin pot holes). Formula hubs, ACI spokes and Mavic CXP33's. PS I also have one of his fixed road bikes. PS you will get sound advice - I spent over £1k with him on my fixed and he advised against 'posh' hubs on the commuter, as the formula bearings can be replaced quickly and for peanuts (which I have done myself - dead easy). I've known Will for over 20 years though !!!

I also have some very nice road bike wheels built by him.

If in South Manchester, Wills Wheels (Heaton Chapel just off A6 - South of McVities) are the danglies. I've got handbuilt road wheels and fixed wheels (oh and a fixed road bike) from him - they haven't even needed a spoke key in 12 months I've had them !

Well, give Leigh Day a call, they are British Cycling's solicitor, and may just take your case on as an individual. Certainly sorting mine out (I'm a BC member though) - don't expect a quick settlement even if the driver fesses up straight away...... 10 months so far.....

Not summat I'd take, not a Londoner, but I'd shut down speed...... reporting is the best thing as these are logged.....too many 'reports' the driver will be pulled.....got to love ANPR......

Braising is neater, and doesn't need the 'goggles' - but it's an art.......

No-one spot me wheeling my bright red Fixed Road Bike (not a fixie....) up Oxford Road between All Saint's and the MRI at lunch, in shirt and tie then..... with rucksack..... couldn't be bothered riding between sites...so walked...... easier....

    Loads of fixie riders out....

Good luck you lot, I wouldn't fancy it on a fixed..certainly wouldn't take mine up there..... road bike territory....

Why, the road at the bottom - just after the long straight out of Macc.... it is terrible..... teeth shakingly bad...... goes on like this through the trees. The surface get's better after the trees, but this is the steepest section for about a mile till it climbs out of the lower hills. Then it's OK.

I usually do the lower section on 39 x 19/21 then the upper sections on the 39 x 17/16

    Have fun.....

I'm hoping to be there, but with my family...but I'll most likely be on my fixed - it has lights...the road bikes don't.........
