Don't think so. Frames that large just look kinda odd.
Same frame, same look, and 700's as well.

Why not? It takes some time to hollow it but if I remember right, it takes 3-4 months making one of those. There should be a day or two in the schedule for hollowing the seat tube. Some manufacturers make two separated halves that are glued together at the end.
Since these bikes are super custom I don't get why they need an adjustable seatpost at all.
Btw, the craftsman usually makes yachts out of this wood. -

I am just curious about two things. First: what kind of saddle is that? Second: are you really worried about the chain hitting your chain stay (because of the protector)? -
Wouldn't that be quite a cheapish solution? Listen to mdcc- that 900 quid are the best investment you can make. When you can not reassemble your stem the proper way you kinda earned to pay that money for a stem... That is porn just for the bank account of Zinn!
