Finally got round to neatening up the wiring.
The internal fork routing was a nightmare. After a failed attempt to use a vacuum to suck some string through, I spent about half an hour trying to poke some bent picture wire through to the outlet. Once that was done I cut a little notch in the mudguard daruma to get it out there and now it looks nice and neat.
The rear is still a work in progress as I'd love to make use of the internal ports on the downtube but just couldn't be bothered with the faff. Instead it's gone along the mudguard stay, a few cable ties to the rear brake hose and then used the spare slots on the cable guides to route the wiring to the front.
I've got some Ortlieb Front Rollers coming soon, so I'll make the rack a bit more level and then I should be getting close to head off towards Almería in May.

Found the wiring hole on the fork, but not sure where the wire could exit from.
Also investigated the rear, and I'm thinking of running the cable inside the mudguard and then into the down tube at the BB and out at the wiring port near the head tube.
I'd heard of running wiring through the rolled edges of the mudguard, but there doesn't seem to be enough room there. Maybe tape or hot glue along one of the edges? They're 52mm guards on 40mm tyres, so plenty of clearance.

Maybe this thread is a bit late, seeing as some of the fun stuff has already happened, but here goes.
I got this last summer for a steal and the main changes so far have been some nice mudguards from Velo Orange and a swap to Vittoria Voyager Hypers from the stock knobblies.
This was originally just going to be a do-it-all winter bike/commuter/tourer (FBNPNA fodder), but I’ve just quit my job and have got a big trip planned this summer before moving back to Spain, so it’s now less commute-y and more towards the touring side of things.
Since this pic was taken I’ve acquired a dynamo wheel from Spa, fitted B&M lights front and rear and a Pizza Rack, with pics to follow.
Still need to work on permanent wiring for the lights and might also swap the saddle as well as some other bits and bobs. Also on the agenda is fixing the front brake after I fiddled with a sticking piston (it popped out, spewed a bit of brake fluid and now the lever does nada).

What helmet is that?
That looks to be a Lazer O2 Road
