    Question

Are there any good reasons for spacing chainstays unsymmetrically ?

I have a Bob Jackson fillet brazed frame which when viewed from the underside the chainstay on the drive side is noticeably nearer to the outer edge of the bottom bracket shell.

All the bikes I have ever owned have always had chainstays that were symmetrical to the bottom bracket.

    Brand New Mavic Cosmos wheelset

Mavic's Cosmos Wheels are a fine way to improve the ride of any road bike. With Mavic's 6106-aluminum rims and 24 straight-pull stainless-steel spokes in the front and 28 in the rear, the Cosmos are more durable than pure race wheels, and with Mavic's sealed-bearing hubs they're built to last.

    Weight (Front/Rear) 820/985 grams

    Shimano 9 + 10-speed HG derailleurs / Campagnolo 10-speed ED derailleur compatible
