  Finally got a photo of mine to post. I had the aluminium/carbon Langster a few years ago and the Steel definitely rides a bi differently, noticeably heavier to carry but don't really think I can feel the difference when riding, feels more solid and a bit damper, which I like.

  Yes, I used it with a 1/8 chain and it's fine.

  I have a pair than came from a Langster steel (no brand marked on them though). Steel, 25.4mm and I've measured them to roughly 175mm drop 130mm reach (similar to 123's), 40cm c-c. As new. nice and shiny. They feel nice and solid but just too deep for me. £25 posted if you want them.
