Hi - I'm new to the forum, just posting to introduce myself.
I'm planning to build up a fixer at some point, and would welcome any advice any one has regarding gear ratios etc.
I've only been into cycling for about 18 months, but love it, ride all the time if the weather allows, currently ride geared bikes, a Condor Italia (aluminium with carbon forks and seat stays - summer bike), and a Pinarello Sestriere (steel, with the original steel forks, and mudguard clearances - winter bike).cheers
Arducius - you're right - I don't like cats - I like people, and I like bikes, but I don't like cats. To be honest, I was interested in joining your community to find out about fixers and fixer bits. I see that you have a protocol for joining, and I've got the intro a bit wrong, my apologies. Your great and almighty leader and administrator lifted my nursery status when I mentioned that I have something I'm selling, and I thought (and he thought so too) some of you folk might be interested in ... I'm not a dealer in disguise, out to make a profit from buying and selling, but it genuinely didn't work for me, but I thought it might for you ... but perhaps I was wrong... nah you wouldn't be interested in it anyway....
