Bad news
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-15620862
The policeman's comment that is quoted is particularly sickening.
As I've just commented elsewhere:
*"unaware of anything which could be done to prevent accidents of the kind in which Miss Cairns was tragically killed", eh?
Funny, I can think of a few off the top of my head. Not least replacing some of the Met, one coroner and one judge, all of whom have proven themselves wing mirrors on a submarine in this case.*
It's a patently ludicrous statement, and that the judge relied on it in coming to a decision despite that does Silber J no credit. As Oliver says, I doubt Eilidh's family will give up, and neither should they.

Bad drivers always get there come uppance, Riding along the mall to visit the Queen (obviously) Guy pulled out from parked with no indicators and whilst txting, He stopped at the lights there so I talked to him abut his driving embarassing him infront of his slag missus, then he wheelspan away from the lights into a stationary taxi. :) Oh how I laughed
Pretty much the only thing keeping me in London is not wanting to miss the inevitable and oh-so-sweet moment when two black cabs take each other out dramatically (but non-injuriously, obv). I shall be sad if I move away and this immediately happens on my commute.

In order to investigate all the allegations properly and fairly they do have to arrest everyone who is subject to an allegation - ie both cyclists and red transit men. This would be to ensure that neither party can get together and cook up a story.
No, they really, really don't. It's perfectly practicable to take people aside at the time, find out in detail what the allegations are and only then take a decision on arresting anyone. Quite possibly that decision is that everyone needs to calm down and go home and no more action be taken, but "we'll need to nick everyone at the outset" is a red herring intended to save them the bother (and paperwork) of even a cursory investigation.

No one is getting nicked and it's all over apparently. What a fuckin surprise. Obvious assault with witnesses and no action. Copper says to me they complained that I'd assaulted the passenger who was defending himself from the aggressive cyclist. Like bitch, please!
Cop also says that if it had gone any further they'd have had to nick me as part of the investigation. The other cyclist later tells me that the cops said that if it went any further they'd have had to nick him also as part of the investigation.
This is, for the record, horseshit. They're under no obligation whatever to nick anyone, as their actions make very clear. Collar numbers, formal complaint. I have fairly limited faith in the complaints mechanisms, but the one response that absolutely guarantees that this nonsense will continue is not to give them a chance to work.

eBay seller denniswinters - order some cheapie shoes to replace the cheapie shoes the sole plate has pulled out of. Get a message from him asking me to call him. He explains that there's been a stock control mix-up and he doesn't have the shoes I ordered in my size. He then, unprompted, asks if he can just send me the new version (approximately twice the price) for the same money. I say yes. What a nice man.
