    dibs on

    1) Shimano 600, right/drive side crank. nice condition, few small scuffs. 170mm. £12

    3) Campag crankset. Good amount of scratches, but still work and would be good for a town bike etc. £15

    5) Stronglight RH/Drive side, and 38t chainring. No chainring bolts. £5

    I'll PM this morning

The point is one of customer service. The amount is immaterial. If any business wants to keep its customers then it must look after them. If a business is failing then perhaps they need to look at why. A business only survives because of its customers and this is especially true of smaller businesses. Ignore the customer and they will ignore you.

I'm out. I have a three person rather crappy tent that folds down nicely. Nothing technical but possibly Ok for a couple of evening non-serious camping. Joe - you interested?

My point exactly. What's wrong with a bit of basic courtesy - you never know, as a shop owner what they will buy next? I had been thinking of a Brooks from VR but not now. As someone involved in a service industry a little give and take never hurt business and £3 should have been neither here nor there for VR but would have engendered customer loyalty.

See BJ website and give them a call. I didn't think it was overpriced for the quality. Diffence between Mario V/Armourtex and Argos/BJ is the difference between powdercoating and stove enamalling. For soemthing like the HQ it's gotta be stove enamalling all the way.
