T-Boned a rent-a-bike cunt this morning while turning left onto a one way street. The genius was filtering the wrong way up the one way street near Blackfriars road, by the time I saw him I had nowhere to go.
Tried to go round the back of him, but ended up hitting his back end full pelt, went over the handlebars and the cunt just rode off leaving me and my totalled Basso TT frame lying in the middle of the road.
Front end of my frame is folded on both tubes, totally fucked.
While I'm unhurt, I'm pretty devastated at the loss of the frame, I loved that thing so much :( Fucking idiot cunt.

So having stared at it for years with the intention of building it into something else, I've finally come to the conclusion that all I really want/need is a street fixed and a BMX, so the time has finally come to part out my old polo bike as I really need the cash.
Goldtec Double Fixed Track Hubs laced to black DP18's with plain guage black DT Swiss Spokes. Bit of brake wear to the rear the rim but plenty of life left. Front rim has never seen a brake. 17t Shimano Freewheel on the rear, but opposite side threads all good. Bit grubby and could do with a true but a reliable set of wheels. Front wheel has 1 Silver spoke that has been replaced. £110 for the set - would rather not split
165mm Profile Race Cranks w/splinedrive spindle and 1/8" 25t Sprocket. Chrome on the driveside is a bit fecked from previous owners crank grinds but plenty of life left in them. Probably have a euro BB I can chuck in as well if you're interested - £45
700x35 Marathon+ Tyres - one with pretty much no wear, other has been skid but no where near dead - £15 for the pair?
Wellgo Pedals - £5
Pickup from Clapham, Catford or other South East location nearby.
No Postage. No Dibs. Cash is king as I'm skint. Please PM me.
More to come as and when I take photos.
I reckon repair is 100% possible, but would involve an entire new front end and a respray, which much as I love this bike is just time and money I don't have at the moment.
Work have offered to pay for something new, so I think I'll probly just cut my losses and hang it on the wall or something. 35+ is pretty old for Italian steel as it is, and we had a good decade run in each others company. Nothing lasts forever, innit.
