I should be getting something together this weekend.... just been really busy with work and real life and stuff lately, hence my seeming silence!

would be awesome if there was a little ride and some drinks when I came over.. nothing is finalised yet but I'm thinking along the lines of coming over on the 7th August, doing my ride to Ballingarry over saturday and sunday and the either heading back sunday afternoon or spending another night in Dublin (if TinyExplosions will have me twice) :D

If there was a chance to get in a group ride and some drinks on friday the 7th or drinks on the sunday/monday night then that would suit me down to the ground

2 nights is grand, and around those dates I'll be here so it's all good.

@bluebike afraid I don't have a spare in a small size for ya, but wouldn't mind a pint sometime! How long are you about for?

    Not a problem at all.

So long as I'm in the country (afaik I'm here all August), you're welcome to crash :)

I got incredibly lucky with my Mercian. Couldn't afford a new one at the time!

MTB stems should get you as short as you want -try chainreaction

Aside from the frame, have you given any though to the rest of it? Cos depending on the frame you get, it could deserve nice components. For example, if you go down the mercian route, a black sugino messenger crankset may not be so nice, but something like this would be perfect

I'd also recommend getting wheels custom built -I got miche hubs/ open pro rims built from parker international, and they came in very reasonably priced, and are a great wheelset.

Quill stems are a must on lugged steel frames imo.

God damnit, now I want to do another build!

You can kip in my spare room if you want, and aren't a psyco :p

Hit me up with a pm and we can sort something out. I'm in the City Centre, so within easy stumbling distance of everything!
