  Have tried tightening the lockring already but will have another bash later. Is there anything else it could be?

  Have a Chrome Messenger and loving it. Comfy and a reasonable size and keeps my stuff nice and dry in the terrible British weather!

  Just joined so can't start a new post but this is related...

  I have a Bowery and am now running it fixed. Have a problem that when I stop using just the pedals, something around the bottom bracket comes loose so that when I pedal hard again I get about a quarter pedal turn of slack before it bites again.

  Has anybody experienced anything similar to this/any ideas on what might cause it?

  I have removed the hideous chain guard thing which has left some of the bottom bracket which is unthreaded outside of the shell. Don't know if this has anything to do with it?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
