    Hey guys!
Finally got around to posting the photos. Gromada also replied with some info on replacing the bearing cartridges.
Sadly, I was a little drunk when I did the cartridge install/removal and forgot to take photos.

I will do another one covering the bearing cartridge installs soon.

Enjoy this for now - http://maxisnow.com/2008/10/bikes-gromada-hubs/

The silver ones are nice. Mine have that odd finish like the silver Sugino 75s. It's almost oily.

I also figured out how to replace the bearings.

Had a beer or four and decided to to some detective work. Thought maybe they came off like the ENO hubs. ended up getting one side off to discover that the whole axle pushes out the bearing and cup. So, malleted a little, being careful as I can on a six-pack, and there it was. Everything in pieces, but still usable.

I'll link up my blog when I update with the parts breakdown and bearing cartridge sizes.

    What's up London?

My name is Max and I'm a member from pdxfixed.com, the fixed gear site for Portland, Oregon, USA. I basically signed up to get some advice on Mack/Gromada hubs as you guys seem like the most informed about them among the english-speaking forums. The mechanics I know in Portland have never even seen these hubs before.
I'm also here to possibly represent some international jack-assery between track/fixed riders.

Sexy ass pic of me on my old bike:

Current track bike: (pic to come soon)
Surly Steamroller, Omnium cranks, Omnium chainring, Turbo signature saddle, TiTech seatpost, Gromada medium flange silver - DT Comps - Velocity Aeros, Shimano SPDs, Phil 17t cog / DA 15t cog, topped with some nasty half road/half track bent drops I got for $5. Fun to see a fairly nice setup with shitty bars eh?

I also ride a sweet 1981 531 Reynolds Gazelle with Campy components. But who care's, this board ain't for shifties.

    So hey everybody.

    Hello London riders.
My name is Max and I'm living, riding, being in Portland, Oregon, USA. I'll post in the introduction thread if you actually want to know anything about me.

Point of my post here is that I came across a very nice laced up track set of these Mack/Gromada hubs the other day. Let's just say I paid a lot less than they are worth. Especially considering the USD exchange rate right now.

So, I was wondering if anyone has serviced their Mack/Gromada hubs yet? I was trying to figure out how to remove the cups and get at the bearing cartridges. However I didn't want to start banging and destroy the whole hub.

Anyone know how to service them, or possibly want to draw me a diagram, make me a vid?
I'm fairly good with my bikes, like I said, I just didn't want to destroy these beautiful hubs.
