I buy stuff from Japan auctions and use a forwarding agent that allows my to write my own custom labels should I want to. They are very clear - the onus is on me as I am making the declaration of value. If the parcel gets lost I am only covered for the value on the label. Same applies to you if you mark it down. If it gets lost you might be out of pocket.

Normally the lining of Stows is fairly soft tan coloured leather of some description. I've seen special order Stows that have coloured linings, purple and so on, and they don't seem as soft although I've never worn a pair.
It almost sounds as if they are a bit big? The uppers don't normally need much breaking in whereas the soles, especially the leather one, can remain stiff for a good while.

On the subject of monkey boots. I have no idea where the name came from but the old Czech army boots were popular in the 70s and 80s worn by skinheads and alternative types. You can still buy them but I can't remember the last time I saw anyone wearing them. They were really cheap too. Something like a tenner in the late 80s and lasted a fair while.

The Trickers leather soles take a while to soften up but are very comfy after a few months of wear. The are more comfy to walk in than the Dainite sole which although hard wearing isn't especially grippy . The commando sole wears out quite quickly and drags mud in everywhere. The heal on the leather soles doesn't last too long either. All have pros and cons.
Alls well thanks! I’ll drop you a pm.
