Hi again flatlanders
Any advice to what technique to use here?
Last night I took the trusty langster for a spin up newlands pass, at the very top I was close to vomitting. How does one do this with style and aplomb. Anyone know how to stay on and stay clean while driving the porcelain bus?
Carrots do spoil the clogs so, dont you know.
As my last post was so well recieved, I thought I'd give you some facts about me.
oldnortherner:
has had numerous tin baths infront of a spitting coal fire
has owned 4 pairs of clogs
currently lives with two whippets, one descended from a crufts champion
develops a rash when south of Manchester
could not live without hills
could not live with a dense population
has never worn a flat cap -
Just a note to say hi
been lurking a while, while I bought my first fixed.
scored a sh 2006 langster in tip top nick for v. little, now I know you fashionista snobs don't like them but; its quick, fun and I climbed/descended whinlatter pass (lake district, shandy drinker) tonight, my third fixed ride. Love it!
There is some really good stuff on this forum, punctuated by snobbery and fashion. Lose the attitude and ride.

All the above is good advice, plus use a toe strap to attach the opposite crank to the chain stay. This gives you something rigid to work against and may save your knuckles from a trashing on the chain ring
