That black PHM9 is sexxx! What's that unpainted super-tarck frame? (picture 8, post 3)

that was a frame that a wholesaler, local to me, was showing - he didn't speak great English so I might have been confused, but, I think he was saying that he got them and loads of other bits built in Taiwan for peanuts. I'll be trying to find his shop in the next week or so. I could get some more info if you're interested?

The rims on this red piece of work were pretty sweet, no branding though which was a bit disappointing.

And those were my highlights of the show.

the fist image is of all the colored spokes that are available over here, i'm not sure I ever saw such a range in the uk.

these chains are all going to be released in 09, the pink and white one will be reversible which was pretty cool

the black thing that looks a bit like a light was actually a bar mountable mp3 player, i'm not sure how useful it would be, but its a nice idea on some levels I suppose.

the stand with the green bike was one of the best, they had awesome saddles, awesome toe straps and some sweet grips, tape and bells

the maroon single was interesting as the guy who designed it was really nice, spoke great english and was a professional bike historian. He told us about all of his connections, including how he got the bars specially made by nitto - they're copies of a handlebar used by a british track rider from the 1930's who won gold in the olympics. The top tube was designed to be low enough for shorter asian riders - particularly women who as he put it were

'prone to accidents and slips', and liable to damage themselves'

the coloured chain, apparently one of only 500 made a year, with a 2 year back order, was surprisingly cheap at only £30 ish in japan

Colored tyres were every where, and seemed pretty standard at the show - most stalls didnt seem to be actually selling much, more advertising for professional buyers, which was disappointing.

these little toy fixies were pretty awesome - the hipster stockingfiller this xmas perhaps?

the guy sat down was testing one of those weird muscle shock machines, not something I wanted to get involved in but it was a nice show

The weird blue bike had a linkage system that meant you power the front wheel while pedaling - which was quite interesting to look at, but a bit aesthetically guff I thought.

The pink nakagawa had carbon inserts that were pretty interesting, and I would be curious if anyone could tell me if that would actually be a practical idea, or if it was the company showing off what they could do?
