Boys, you did the north proud with your organisation of this.
    Proper traffic stoppin stuff.
Cheers to everyone for a crackingly good day out in the city, well apart from that bloody bollard that snuck up on me, just about got all the blood off my bartape now.
Me and the Fuji shall return for some evening ridage once the summertime starts to return.

    Yup still slippy.
Slow around a Supermarket car park corner (with one of those slick looking surfaces). I went down so fast I was practically still pedalling while laying sideways on the floor. Kinda shaken but uninjured.

I hear rapha make a smashing pair of 101% peruvian goat worm silk boxers. They are so soft and warming that after only 5 minutes of riding and jiggling you htfu (if you know what I mean). I swear they have an employee whose primary role is to come up with the most outlandish product and then pick a random three digit number for the price just to see what Mr public will spend.

Wait until the 5D mk2 comes out and is available (normally later than the official release date going by canons past release history). The market should become some what richer with old 5D's sold off/traded by people going for the new version.
Also that 50mm f1.8 is a damn fine lens, probably the best value for money lens canon have ever produced, if you have get lens the f1.4 isn't really worth the extra. So that could mean 5D + 50mm f1.8, save for a while then shell out for the proper decent f1.2L, the lens that will rock your low light high speed world.

Gotta say it is a cracking bike for the cash. Some people knock it but I have to agree with scaryeire the frame is great. It obviously helps if it fits well, but mine was spot on.
Yes original tyres are a bit poor, the wheels will probably want sorting after a ride or two so get to know someone handy a twiddling nipples.
Pimp my fuji - Pedals and toeclips to shiny track pedals and clips. Fuji drop bars swapped for the same profile pursuit bars above (them be super doody and great for ragging it up hills as they are pretty long) Stock stem to a 3T stem (same length just more angle so I can get lower on the pursuit bars, stem now runs parallel with top tube (ie flat). 17t miche / 19t EAI (to give me a few choices depending on hills) Oh yeah and a front brake + crosstop lever.
Considering - new wheels as the hubs aren't running like butter anymore, more like butter with bits of toast in.
What's with all the seat bashing too, I quite like my little fuji saddle, have completed 30/40M rides without a hint of numb bollies.

it's not the legs you have to worry about, it's your lungs trying to remove themselves from you rib cage via you mouth that will get ya.

check / google "rabbit gear" and all your skid patch worries will be over. Just checked it and it's 3 skiddy holes not 2 for the 18t with the 48t up front(aren't I just a fountain of almost truths today)
The no. of skid patches comes from how the front to back cog teeth ratio can be simplified, so by putting a cog with a prime number of teeth on you will be getting that number of skid patches (i a nutshell)

Thinking on you are right the 18t will go on, it's the 19t which needs an extra link when stepping up from 15t.

Just so you know, it might be worth going one cog either side of the 18 in order to maximise the number of skid patches you are going to get. I think the 18 tooth gives 2 whereas the 17 gives 17 and the 19 gives 19, just a point to try and save you money in the long run. Miche are good so long as you check them regularly for wobbles. I'm running an 19T EAI (from hubjub.com) or 17t Miche (depends on which hills I need to get up).
Also the 17T will fit straight on without you having to alter the chain length (another plus if you can take the slight increase in gearing)
If you haven't had the lock ring/sprocket off that fuji yet you are going to have an evening of fun ahead of you, they are on pretty solidly from the factory (locktight) so might take some swearing to get it off.
    Enjoy.
