Red Brompton 3 - speed. This has been a project to improve on what Brompton do well and get rid of the bits that aren't so good. I bought this 4 year old Brompton in January, it is in good condition and had seen little use. I have changed the following parts (All new) : -
    Schwalbe Kojak tyres.
Alloy 46 tooth chainset (standard size on this model ) in a contrasting red.
    Tektro RM4 alloy brake levers.
    Ergonomic Rubber grips.
New Brompton dual-pivot brakes. (standard were side pull and shocking!)
    Shimano bottom bracket.
    New Brompton Sram chain.
    Charge 'Spoon' saddle.
    Brompton alloy 'Pentaclip' saddle fixing.
I have also serviced the bike, replaced both brake inner cable and renewed a fold clip.
Standard Brompton pedals come with the bike.

    £695 ONO

Has anybody else had the misfortune to meet up with (get barged by) this testosterone-fuelled bunch of sad cases. I have been jostled and diverted by this strange club 3 times this season around hertfordshire's roads and they are clueless, undisciplined and comical...there you go I've said it.

I am competing in the folding bike race. You have to wear work clothes and run to your folded bike Le Mans style.

Just remember when you get to the sticky bits like approaching slow moving cars or filtering you would naturally coast - you can't now do that and it catches you out. It's like tapping your head and rubbing your belly at the same time....

My Sigma BC800 (old style push-in fit - not new twist-in fit) computer is doing its own thing and the buttons are playing up. It is the two wheel size version and as I have two old style mounts on two bikes it would be nice to just replace the computer! Anybody got one kicking about they don't use?

    Cheers

Bought 4 tickets to Chelsea v Middlesborough in a chariteeee auction and took some football-loving mates and father-in-law. Sat in the Shed end thingy. Chelsea - quite crap, Middsbro very crap never looked like scoring. My overlying thought while sitting there was wish I was at Saracens instead getting cold watching rugby like I usually do. Complete waste of money but it was for Chariteeeeee....
