sorry, came late to this one.
My thought on velorution-went there this week as they had advertised on their website brooks b17 saddle £32.95. travelled 15 mins down there, and price £50. Told me they hadn't had time to update website, and seemed unapologetic, i left with a rant about wasting my time and how i'd buy online instead and losing a customer blah blah. Clearly they had time to write a racist, bigoted blog to offend everyone, ...and don't care too much about gaining/keeping customers. anyway, wont be going back.

Did you get the wheel from a shop? If so they should be able to measure against another one. If not you could google the wheel and see if you can get some specs off the company.
nope, bought the wheel second hand off here, so its about third-hand now! check this thread http://www.londonfgss.com/thread7226.html

hmmm... bike at home, me in city! was hoping to get the bits at lunchtime, go home, fix bike... guess i could remove spoke tonight and bring back in tomorrow. Just another day off the road! i could ride with a broken spoke but i've found on my mtb that doing this can put the whole wheel out, and i'm sure my skills don't stretch to truing a wheel just yet!

helpful info.
fyi my chain was making hell of a racket for the last month, had it tight as fck and was riding up hill and popped a KMC chain... so i reckon- if you can hear it- its too tight. I learnt the hard way... ever had a chain snap on you? not fun.
