I spend about 50% of my time on the bike drunk. I cycle into work sober, hit the pub hard afterwards and cycle home. Worst time for me was recently when I had to use the curbs (BOTH sides of the road) as alignment markers!!! Got back ok though (5 mile commute). I've lost count of the number of times I've forgotten how I got home. The amazing thing is I keep my bike in the cellar of my building - how I haven't broken my neck carrying the bike down there is anyone's guess.
