Hi all.
I'm Owen from Ipswich.
This is my first fixed bike.
It's got flats on as my clipless haven't arrived yet.
I also haven't fitted the white Vittoria's yet.I still haven't decided on whether to run it fixed (as is) or singlespeed.
I'm a 'roadie' and think a SS will be closer to my normal ride.
I must say there's some nice kit on here and you all have a sweet forum. -

I'm sorry to hijack a thread, and sorry if this is a dumb-asse question, but how do you know if a hub is/and whats the definition, of a suicide hub?
When I put the lockring on my "ebay buy" it only tightens up about 3qtrs of a turn.
Is this safe? -
I've got a ss 29er, and love it to bits.

why not get sugino cranks and chainset together, it's cheaper.
Sorry that is what I meant.
The ones on ebay come with 48t chainring.They look better than the black RPM 'cross chainset I was going get, and only £12 more.

It's an old 12speed Raleigh something?!?!
I've given it a fresh coat of paint, and it looks quite nice. Just need to get it up and running.
Thanks, mine is definately a road one then.
I will remove the lockring/cog and stick a freewheel on until i can afford a new wheel.
