so i was all about air max 1s and 90s until i started riding properly, then i realised clips, pedals and waffle soles are not good friends!
now its all blazers or vans. but NOT the zoom blazers. I hate the fact good classics get messed with so much. And those lady blazers made with lace and upholstery fabrics. Urgh it makes me angry. Girls have a really hard time if they care about trainers (vans help out abit but still). I'm lucky cos im a 6 though. It's like trainers for girls instead of girls sized trainers. -
hey there, I haven't met any of you girls yet - and this sounds like a great start. I have no tricks yet either too so i think this is my thing just riding no mallets!! Sadly busy saturday but if it happens to be friday i might be able to join - if not if it becomes a regular thing i'd be really up for it.

BringMeMyFix
velocity boy Looks like it happened whilst locked there. My money is on a flatbed swinging around the corner and flattening the bike against the fence and shredding the bike.
Sounds most likely.
For the record, as previously alluded to on this thread, the estates round there are home to some particularly nasty people. Avoid using the cycle routes round the back, don't dawdle if you do venture off the main drag, and be aware that some of the local 8-yr-olds are quite happy to gang up on you and leave your face/body as FUBAR as that bike...
At least the NF types round there seem to have sunk back into the shadows. Same goes for Old Street.
@Todd - I wouldn't call it the Angel though. It's strictly Essex Rd aka Packington/Popham territory.
i'm hearing this alot about avoiding the back way from angel to hackney the bike route through De Beauvoir etc... thats my route to and from work, bout 9 in the morn and 6 ish in the eve... any thoughts - do you think i should really stick to the mian roads instead? Pretty hectic and busy and the cycle route is a pleasure in comparison - but really dont want to put me and my bike at risk - is really it worth battling the commuters and traffic and juctions instead? What does anyone think? Appreciate any advice and other areas to watch for too
