I wiped out of the bike when we had all the snow and had a minor fracture to my shoulderr. Dr says it takes about 8-10 weeks for bone to heal, unless you have access to Pro medical staff like professional medial teams and 'dodgy' blood transfusions ;)

Getting movement back depends how soon your able to start physio, but getting a good physio is very important. I've had bad experiences with some 'gym physios' before who don't always know exactly what they are doing or aren't used to sport injuries (they work in a gym!!!, but hey). Although have found some gym physios really good.

I can't rate NHS physio's enough, get your Dr to refer you to nearest hospital for physio.

I'm running Record Pista 08 Cranks and Phil BB - BRS10S, gives pretty much the 42.5. I also dropped Phil Wood's and Campy emails to confirm before I bought, as the Campy website seemed to suggest asymetrical.

No reply from Campy, but as they suggest the same BB as for their road crankset, they may have just cut and pasted across all record cranksets.

I did get a reply from Phil Wood, and they recommended the symetrical, BRS10S 110.5. So I went with that.

I've got this setup running against a Phil Wood double-fixed with EAI, and runs smooth and quiet :-)

Okay, seems a little of topic, even for a meaningless category...

Firstly I need to confess that I have in the past purchased, as new, items of Rapha clothing and that I have bought the odd copy of Rouleur magazine. I'm sure I'm not the only one...

So, as a few of you might have seen, Rouleur/Rapha have sent out one of their surveys with the sweetner of 10% off and free shipping, so on the off-chance I weaken again, filled it out.

Amoung the usual questions used to determine how stupidly wealthy some of their customers are, was the following question. Maybe we should add it as a poll?

How do you normally travel for leisure and business? Tick all that apply

    • Private jet
    • First class
    • Business/club class
    • Premium economy
    • Economy/budget

    I kid you not!

I had the same issue with the Nitto bullhorn bars. The e-lever does fit after a bit of effort and a bit of spray, but you do get a few scratches. The brake also doesn't sit right next to the stem.

Not sure of the size of Nitto risers, but the e-lever goes on easier to the Nitto drops and sits right next to the stem.

The cross-lever needs a shim to fit on the grip area of both the drop and bullhorn bars, but sits just right next to the stem on a bullhorn.

Wanna be careful there... you start off just playing with the colour schemes, then you take a look at what Serotta really sell and but before you know it, you're walking out of Cyclefit £5000 less well off ;-)

T, have you ordered them already? I ordered a pair a while ago and only want the right-hand lever, so have the left-hand one going spare.

    26mm, not 31.8mm.

    Let me know.

Dammit, you should obviously make sure your general bike setup is good first, stuff like saddle height, position, tilt etc. But if you heel is sticking out naturally and you change te cleats to effectively force it back in, you could make things worse.

As a quick and simple test, sit down somewhere where you legs can dangle without touching the ground and see what way your toes point (out/in/straight). If they naturally point in, you really shouldn't force them back, as this will have a knock-on effect to your knees, and possibly upto your back. These things are way more connected then you might think ;-). You should adjust the cleats so that your foot points in it's natural direction.

Apart from the fact your heel was kicking out, was this causing any issues origianlly, like pain/discomfort?
