Yeah, the fabric on the Core shorts is fairly poor. From experience of owning and riding with others who own them they are often fairly see through from the start, and certainly end up that way before too long. Strictly turbo only shorts for me now. I think Rapha customer service generally give out a partial voucher if you complain.
It’s strange that they haven’t sorted it because they’ve been the same since launch. The pad is good and everything else solid enough, so they’re only a denser fabric away from a really good value short.

Apparently part of the upcoming changes is a big update/redesign of the Strava route planner. If they get that working as well then the £4 might look better value. They’ve certainly got all the data they should need to make it happen.

Anyone know of somewhere near the Holloway Road? Could also be a bit further north, as I’m generally coming back in from Barnet etc on rides.

Might be worth getting in touch with MiCycle on Barnsbury Street? They’re pretty friendly, and might hold onto it for a day if you explain your situation.

With the level of opposition to even small changes from ‘mainstream’ groups, I do worry whether we’ll manage to convince enough people around the world in time.

You do want to be almost lying on the bars at times on technical climbs. When it gets steep slide forwards on the saddle, roll your wrists down below the bars and lean forwards. It’s not comfortable, but the steepest bits aren’t generally that long...
May be different elsewhere, but in London this really doesn’t seem to be the case. Places that are in good condition certainly sell faster, but prices on equivalent run down places are rarely low enough to account for the cost of the work necessary to get them up to the same standard.
