    48x18 gearing,
Open pro rims or maybe the swiss dt 1.2 (quite like the look of them)
    finger lever for front brake,
better saddle (though i may just nick the brooks off my other bike)
    Carbon seat post (maybe)

Does upgrading the brakes make alot of difference or are they just slightly lighter as they get more expensive?

I don't get it. Are condor bikes especially heavy, should i look at getting an off the shelf bike? I was originally thinking of getting a lemand fillmore but thought a bike built to spec would be better

    So 165 cranks too!

Nimhbus do you think it is worth upgrading the hubs as well as the rims?

Thanks for all your comments. Looks like it is worth considering upgrading the wheels at a minimum to open pros and i think a cross lever front brake sounds like a good idea too.

(was thinking the tempo is a better idea because of the option of mudguards and a rack - think its identical to the pista except for changes to accomodate these things)

Hi there, I have written on here before (but cannot remmeber my password/username!)

I am considering gettting a Condor Pista or a Tempo to use for the commute to work. Can anyone reccomend what specs to go for. Anyone ride a Condor here?

    Gear ratio?
    Hubs?
    etc etc,

i'm a bit new to fixed gears so any help would be really appreciated! I am getting the bike on a cycle to work scheme (so save 40%!) so can now afford a new bike!
