On 20th April 12 riders will be setting off from Swansea to ride the 200 miles or so to Piccadilly to the Japanese embassy to raise money for the Red Cross tsunami relief appeal. We are all riding fixed so will be pedaling every inch of the way. Any help would be much appreciated! As an ex London messenger i am used to riding a long days but i'm expecting this to be painful.....we should arrive sometime in the afternoon of the 21st so come and see what shape we are in!

I know it's Swansea so a tenuous link to London but i believe there was a London rider amongst the 21 racers.......

d0cA i think the hospital was there before the bike route.
Very true but the new door with the wheelchair access ramp is a new addition and i noticed today that the "cyclists dismount sign has been replaced by a "pedestrians beware of cyclists" sign....so is it a cycle route again? I wonder if in the days before the cycle lane they had a "pedestrians beware of donkeys" sign...? Can this sign be re-applied today for certain cyclists? Or vice versa the other way round pedestrian/cyclist.....bike lanes seem to be ill thought out wherever they may be...bad,bad,bad.
Just seen the post finger jockey.....thanks!!
