Shirt fell from my bag into the wheel, got trapped between the sprocket and the chain, and by the time I stopped the chain was out of the sprocket. The wheel did not move, so basically the chain got stretched quite a bit.
Other than the chain now being quite loose, it seems like the rest is fine. How evenly it stretched or whether it got twisted at some point, I have no idea. What should I do? move the wheel back and keep riding? Replace the chain (it's fairly new)?
What happens when the wheel is all the way near the end of the dropouts so you can't tense the chain further?
    Any advice appreciated.

looking to convert my errands bike to SS, and the back wheel is so bad off that it may just be easier to get a new(ish) one.
so doesn't need to be anything special, as long as it's true and sturdy.
Flip flop hub would be a plus, but not necessary.
    700mm, 13cm axle.
If you can offer some help in getting the chain line right and stuff that would be appreciated.

Yes, in either case you'll need new bars.

Did you know that the Pista retails at $580 in the US? that's sub £300 before tax.
Also, it will be really hard to find one your size until next spring, they pretty much sold out in the UK

There are a lot of twats in uniform in this town. I factor the occasional ticket in, but the attitude and abuse I sometimes get is just out of order.
I learned (at my expense :-) that the City police are the worst, so now I (mostly) respect lights in the square mile and that seems to do the job.

cornelius blackfoot was in evans (replacing an innertube 2nd puncture in 5 days) and saw a guy buying one, apart from the red rims and hubs, it isn't the prettiest bike in the world. Was upset for him, wanted to let him know he could buy something different. but just huffed over my inner tube and bit me tongue. Beauty's in the eye of the beholder dontcha know ;-P

The Langster comes with puncture resistant tires, doesn't it?

Olivia, the two places I would recommend are Gumtree and Ebay.
Gumtree unfortunately has lots of dodgy / stolen stuff, but also some genuine, and you can find an old bike for cheaper than Ebay.
Note that these days nobody seems to want women's bikes (the frames without the top tube), I was watching a couple on Ebay and they went for £5, in the London area. This also means they're less likely to get stolen.
