oh sorry - frame was $450 plus $60 PP and some £60 customs.

weight - no idea at the mo - need to weigh it, but feels pretty light.

I agree aero would have been lovely - with some carbon rims - unfortunately however not made of money.

    Frame from China I think.

I wanted to make it quite light, I've got a Bianchi Pista and wanted a lighter model than that - but I think maybe a full carbon fork might have been a bad idea, as not quite as hard wearing as a carbon with metal steerer. In the long run i might replace the wheels with something in more keeping and not quite so in vogue (any ideas?). Also I take your point about the bottle racks being a bit ott, but never mind.

Have just finished my first fixed build. Just wanted to show you all - I went for the cheesy 'on-the-bandwagon' 1980s flourescent sock stylee green rims (although probably will regret this).

Frame is an ebay Titanium unbranded thingy - also got the tip off for this from this forum.

Also wanted to say a huge thanks to both Cornelious Blackfoot from this forum and to Will at Hubjub - both of which were a great help. Cheers guys.

First the caveat: Sorry for the ignorance, I am new to the whole fixie thang.

From reading these discussions i bought a titanium tracker frame from ebay (my second only fixie - other was bought finished - this is my first build) and am looking for advice on the bits and bobs. Do I need specific crank/chainset / bottom bracket for a track frame like this? The frame doesn't mention anything about a BB thread (italian or british) does this usually mean i need to cut the thread - if so any recommendations as to who could do this for me? The frame doesn't come with a fork so if i buy a new fork can I cut it and thread it myself? Any recomendations for headset stem etc, am looking for a carbon/titanium non branded look, also am thinking of velocity v black wheelset, what do you think?

Thanks very much - and once agin sorry for thickness.

    Cheers
