I'll wait for the metal polish to arrive and then I'll post some artfully shot pictures of the setup!

I couldn't make it over to Brixton but I managed to get hold of some Climpsons Estate from birdhouse on St Johns Hill (next door to the London cycle workshop - where I work - don't know why I didn't think of there first). Thanks for the advice anyhow!

For sale is my Kinesis RC2, size 45cm which would suit someone 5'3" up to about 5'7". I'm 5' 6 1/2" and ran it with a 90mm stem which worked fine for me. It is a really compact frame and is roughly equivalent to a 52cm traditional size.

The frame (£500) and Easton EC90 SL (Full carbon- £260) forks and Specialized S-Works carbon (£70) post are one year old.

The full Shimano 105 10 speed groupset, Fizik Arione saddle, Mavic CXP22 wheels, Michelin Lithion 23c tyres and Giant handlebar/stem are all brand new and never ridden.

It is a standard 53/39 double chainset with a 12/25 cassette.

It's a lovely bike to ride but you have to move on, I've gone full carbon to save a bit of weight and be a tart!

It is located in Putney SW15 and you can pop in and have a look at it in Putney Cycles which is where I work.

I'm looking for £1050 OVNO and you can pay using cash or any card in the store, whatever is more convenient.

Contact Dave on 020 8785 3147 (day) or PM me for my mobile (eves)

I heard that Simon "twosheds" couldn't be asked to sell the tickets to the event on Raphas behalf.

I'm surprised no-one else is questioning this ploy as I felt like i'd been raped everytime I went to the bar and since when has a company putting on an event for marketing purposes expected to profit from it directly?

Don't know if you guys heard but stockwell is having to be re-laid again as the new concrete wasn't the right stuff. Now it's delayed for about another 4 months.

Also it will be a bit different as the edge of the main bowl is being pushed about a metre from the wall to meet some safety restrictions so it will be a lot steeper, or so i'm lead to believe.

I know you support your LBS Henry. Good on ya!

nimhbus Yeah, i like to support my LBS too, ( Holdsworth), but they don't make it easy - when i was about to buy a Flyer, i asked them if they would budge in price, but not a sausage. They stuck firm at 499. and when you can get it for 430 online, delivered, to your door, well, like I say -it's not easy.

At least your LBS is a real bricks and mortar store where you can see and test ride the bike. That £70 will be money well spent if you run into trouble with your internet purchase and don't feel like popping to the warehouse in Wales or some distant shop you bought it from.

Online shopping has it's place but I really think buying your bike online is a fools game. If you appreciate what your LBS does for that 30-35% margin (build it, sell it to you, free servicing, warranty) then that should make make the decision easy

Yes, I work in a bike shop. (not Holdsworth)
