sleep on it people... but i'm serious..
time for decent, considered and appropriate action.. not ranting or potential threatening behavior..I really cant see what good that does us ? to me that completely alienates us from the point and gives the Daily Mail et al ammunition in which to defend our responses..PM me if you want to discuss more

cheers hael, but i'm being serious... sorry if i'm being a bit dry and not jumping on and calling martin a cunt.
but there are too many examples over the last year of how mainstream media influences the general perception and relationship between cyclists and the motorist.. I see this as an opportunity to respond in a decent and democratic way, and in doing so leverage a bit of public opinion to our own advantage..
its a throw away remark to call him a cunt and even more childish to threaten him and his property etc.. surely much more clever to use the opportunity to raise the overall problem of how such high profile public figures and the media they are representing are able to condone this position.
This is finally the opportunity to present ourselves in a proper manner and begin the re-education of the british public towards respecting cyclists.. -
hi everyone.. not posted in a while..
of course this guy is a complete idiot, but rather than post offending and threatening behavior to him, surely this is an opportunity to highlight the massive indifference the mainstream media show towards cyclists.. it reminds me of the BBC radio 'journalist' that used a public platform to air some awful views a while back. (see old posts - i cant remember her name..)
surely we should use this opportunity constructively, and rather than 'i hate....blah blah " facebook groups and tweets etc.. we should really think about approaching the media to give a considered and appropriate response. i feel that by responding in this way, we stand more chance of actually achieving something, rather than just venting/ranting a response... -

dear giles, kate, and all of Eilidhs family and friends..
I have only just read this thread and am truly shocked to hear this incredibly sad news.
I also work in Notting Hill and i remember on occasion chatting to this very sweet girl whilst riding along the gate on the way to work. We'd talk about the traffic, the weather and of course deep v rims. We were complete strangers but its those moments of shared experience that makes London the fantastic city that it is.
We all love cycling and this forum is absolutely wonderful in bringing a community together. I believe that when it is appropriate, we would all wish to pay our respects collectively, and in a way that shows how we are thinking of you all during this incredibly difficult time.My deepest sympathies to you and all Eilidhs family and friends.

like the buddah, i'm happy to see them doing well..
but please, if you ever get a bike serviced there, then please check it over before you ride..
they serviced a potenza for me a few years back and "forgot" to tighten up the front wheel nuts..
fucking hell.. and when a day later i politely informed them of their mistake, the little short cu*t, said it was my fault and perhaps someone tried to nick the front wheel... jesus.. what a prick.. -
i agree and i dunno why condor gets slagged so much, sure there are often a few ignorant guys who work there, and the quality of the servicing is a bit hit and miss at times.. but give some credit - they've been supporting cycling and london cyclists for 60 odd years, always helpful and have supported young aspiring riders in a big way.. good guys if you ask me...
