I'd add some acoustic treatment. Panels on either side and on the wall behind you should make a good improvement. For example three or four 244 or Monster Traps from GIK Acoustics (they will also give you free advice if you want).
Some Iso-acoustics Iso-stands or Iso Pucks to put the speakers on would reduce a lot of the vibration travelling down into the desk.
After that you could also consider room correction EQ (e.g Sonarworks Sound ID Reference etc), but best to use that last IMO.
Yes raising the speakers up is a good call. I’d also experiment with blocking the ports (looks like those speakers come with bungs for that purpose?).
Maybe not possible with your setup, but leaving the speakers next to the wall and moving your seat back by about 1.5m should give more balanced bass response.
Turning the desk around would improve sidewall reflections, but the closer wall behind you would bring more problems, so I’m not sure it would help things.
