I’m selling my late uncle’s bike, built around 10 years ago by Fitzrovia Cycles, formerly based in London's West End. My Uncle, a competitive club cyclist in his youth, had this bike built when he was in his early 70’s and only ever rode it around the block, where he lived in Brook Green, West London. Having inherited it, I want it to go to a good home. I’ve ridden it around a car park and everything is in perfect working order. The bike has always been stored indoors and would be great for a Fixed Gear enthusiast who would really appreciate it.
I’m looking for £1000 or best offer.
Total bike weight 8.43 Kg
Custom Steel frame
Top tube 58cm, Down tube 61cm, Seat tube 43 cm
Carbon Fork
Dura Ace Hubs, Front & Rear
Dura Ace Front Brake & TRP leaver
1-1/8 threadless headset
Shimano crank set and external bottom bracket
Shimano clipless pedals
Cinelli flat handlebars and a set of bar ends
Ritchey seat post
Brooks saddle
Extras: x3 rear cogs and spacers and Mudguard
Custom ‘one of a kind’ paint Job (few minor chips visible on the photos) : On the down tube in gothic style gold font is ‘geheimnis’. On the headstock is the PX ‘ Chi Rho’ Cross in bright yellow, and on the top tube are some roman numerals ‘IC XC’ in gold font.I’m Based in , Worcester Park (KT4) on the South West London / Surrey border (Travelcard Zone 4) Only 27 min from Waterloo, or 18 min from Clapham Junction on the train, and Close to the A3 London to Portsmouth Road.
Hi Oliver, thanks for getting in contact, to be honest i'm not entirely sure, what it relates to. My Uncle had the custom paint job put on the bike when he had the frame made. This lettering, as well as that on the top tube and headstock is under a clear top coat of paint, rather than being stickers applied to the frame.
