Hello everyone, after taking quite some inspiration from this page I build myself a Steamroller a bit more than a year ago. Using it mostly for my job as a socialworker I already rode it for 8500 km. So a few days ago it was finally time to rebuild the wheels as 650b, something I wanted to do shortly after building the original 700c set. I had to wait (and save money for the mudguards..). I really like how it turned out and its a real joy to ride wether its tarmac, gravel or singletrails. Rims are Ryde Andra 35, gearing is 44x18, tires are 42mm Gravelking slicks with tubes (and tubeless milk).
Thank you all for your kind words!
The bike incorporates everything I know and learned to like and love about bicycles, so I‘m pleased other people like it as well.
In everyday mode it has a good lock mounted to the frame and a bag I sewed myself on the rack.
The rear fenders are mounted on the inside of the mounts so I can use the chain tensioner as desired (but have yet to cut the screw a bit to do so).
