Bicycle Film Festival is returning to London at the Rio Cinema this July 19-20.
BFF London presents four international short film programs that will appeal to a wide audience from film connoisseurs to avid cyclists and everyone in between. Curated documentaries, narratives, animations, award-winning directors, and emerging talents – all sharing equal billing.
Bicycle Film Festival has been celebrating bicycles through art, film, and music over the last 23 years. Founded in New York, the BFF has spanned the world in 100 cities worldwide to an audience of over one million people.
BFF London features over 35 films and filmmakers from more than a dozen countries curated in 4 short film programs:
• Program 1: ADVENTURE (short films) This program will take you on a journey around the world through the lens of gravel, mountain biking, bikepacking, and ultra-endurance cycling.
• Program 2: CYCLE SPORT (short films) Let’s celebrate the sport of cycling from the Women’s Paris Roubaix race to the Tour de France filmed over ten years on Super 8. These stories feature Kasia Niewiadoma, Justin & Corey Williams, and other stars of the sport. Hosted by Rapha.
• Program 3: CINEMATIC (short films) A story driven and diverse curation of filmmaking styles: narrative, documentaries, musical, animation, and more. Oscar nominated and award-winning shorts share equal billing with emerging new talent.
• Program 4: URBAN BIKE (short films) These films capture the spirit of street, youth, fixed gear, bmx, and bikelife and messenger cultures from passionate cyclists in cities around the world. The Urban Bike program is a popular tradition at the BFF.

Bicycle Film Festival has been celebrating bicycles through art, film, and music over the last 23 years. The BFF has spanned the world in 100 cities worldwide to an audience of one million people. In 2022, BFF returned to theaters for the first time since 2019 with sold out shows in New York, Amsterdam, Cape Town, Copenhagen and dozens of cities and towns around the world. Now BFF is returning to London after nearly four years.
