Also did the Etape for the first time this year. Such a luxury not having to worry about cars and to make use of the entire (mostly smooth) roads. Agree about the organisation, friend had a mechanical and instantly a motorbike was there to help him and advise him a mechanic was 1km away.
Really want to do something similar maybe Etape Caledonia or Mull.

Ah that does look sleek! I’m using a shim currently but would be up for an adapter if I had to.
I feel like I have to readjust my brain looking at stems - probably from years of using quill stems.

Agreed, that’s my plan eventually. Looking for the right stem to go with the 1 inch steerer might be a bit of a trial and error.
