I'm annoyed at myself for ordering the (slightly) wrong size watch crystal; I can only think I managed to have my calipers out of zero when I originally measured it. If nothing else, it wasn't expensive and another easily found and, of course, it can sit in the spares box until I need it

I might have said yes once, but I've just flipped a dozen or so vintage G-Shocks to raise funding for a Hamilton (kept the best ones though; I might be tempted to sell those if I fancy a quartz Hamilton)

I just had a fun time listing all of my watches, and have decided to create a bit of space; not sure of their value, so I don't know if online auction is a good idea? I'm open to input, as long as I'm doing the right thing with regards to this site's rules.

I was offered this as an alternative to endoscopy, but my Barrett's has progressed to the stage of needing HALO ablation

I'm impressed by the effort you've put in, and I wouldn't worry about the fluid; between painting lead miniatures (old-school GWS with no plastic), asbestos mats in school and the mercury thermometers and sphygmomanometer I used to work with, I'm surprised I'm still around.

Ultimately a new bezel for it, (someone makes good aftermarket copies) and I'll use it as an everyday beater. It's a bit of a mish mash of parts from different sources; it isn't technically the right module for the case, but it fits and the buttons match the functions. The case has a big chip, but it's on the inside and a replacement crystal is near impossible to find (Casio changed the size and shape over the years). I think it adds character, personally!

Keep us posted! I'm waiting on parts, but I kind of like how the older metal body G-Shocks look without bezels.

Definitely, and more interesting than heaven knows how many pages of the "other watch thread"

I know! My journey into Casio restoration began with that discovery, and with the older G Shocks learning about the tiny spring that makes a contact against the case, completing the speaker circuit.

Casios can do some weird things on installing a new battery, and you're being more adventurous than I would with the circuitry. I have zero experience or tools to deal with that, although I keep possibly dead modules (just in case). I'm surprised there's differences in the modules; that series only used the 261 (says Google) so I can only specuate on what and why things were changed
