hey guys again,
Finished the bike a couple months a go, its a dream to ride, nippy and pretty fast. clearance is tight, chain is slammed and toe overlap is ridiculous.
one thing I had massive issue with seatpost its 26.something .... had to sand down a 26.4 for it to fit and the crank is so close to the frame it makes me nervous.
parts list;
- Flight saddle
- old handle bars from the parts bin with generic cotton tape and door nob ends for plugs
- ITM stem and seatpost
- some Miche headset ?
- campagnolo 111mm bb
- campagnolo record crank 170mm
- BLB cog with Miche lockring (to poor for the camp lock ring, one day....)
- pedals from the same parts bin
- record 28h hubs laced to Mavic open pros :} + gatorskins
please excuse the bad quality photo I don't have a proper camera :( but thought I would share
- Flight saddle

Thanks Obi, Wim, Botherington and Crop for all the info and updates, bikes look super nice! The all black is pretty cool but love the Plum with the silver and age correct parts, we'll see how mine goes...
will email the guys in Ghent at some point next week. thanks again obi! not entirely happy with the thought that it was a rent-a-bike but still came from a great place of frame building, and still a pretty good frame.
Thanks

Hi all,
I understand this forum is now 8 years old.... but I recently won an eBay auction on a W.B.V track frame and discovered this forum after doing some digging to see if this frame has appeared anywhere else, nice!
ObiWomKenobi I would love to know what you uncovered about the frame? I've learnt a thing or two from this forum but would love to get in contact with the guys from Gent and find out some history about the frame, the team or who might of built it? if yah happy to share information i'd be totally grateful ??
The frame is a lot smaller than yours ObiWomKenobi with a 56cm seat tube - 55cm top tube. The frame seems to have the same drop outs as the other W.B.V frame you guys discovered in America and a different set of more aggressive geometry forks... It also has an added emblem stuck to the front to the frame that looks like it was added on way after it was made (see all the attached photos) (cat for scale)
It arrived today but i've already got a lovely pair of Campagnolo Record hubs laced onto super champion Arc en Ciel 700cc x 21mm that I think will fit very nicely (might change for a pair of Mavic Gp4's). I think more campy parts needed.
I hope this forum can help, and I'm thankful for any info I can get back! it's gonna be a great quarantine project :)
Thanks, user119393
this also happened today, super nice to meet you dude super cool to see them together! i'll get more confident cycling around town then can join for a cycle one evening!
