Hello all,
Looking to sell an almost new Chrome Barrage Freight in proper olive (not the sickly "olive branch" they do now). It's the funny 38L middle brother of the family, still a beast but one that is just a little too big for my everyday needs. Has been used but with very little wear to show for it, light scuffs can be seen in photos.
What it is good for is doing the weekly shop from your nearest big Sainsbury's, or for taking on a trip where you want to take your bike to the destination without actually cycling there. I've used it on a handful of trips between London and Edinburgh where I ride to and from the station at each end, very handy for such instances! Also just great for the occasional big, awkward cardboard box strapped to the outside or for particularly long ones inside (insert ha-ha here).
Point is: it has its uses and performs them very well. I just don't make enough of its usefulness and would like to swap it out for a classic Cargo.
Looking for hopefully a fair £120 for it. It may be good as new but I did get it well over a year ago now and it was on offer at the time. RRP is currently £210.
Pickup from SE1 or SW16, also happy to deliver it to surrounding areas free of charge.
Get in touch if interested!

Sorry to hear about this, looks like a really nice build!
I just had my bike stolen on Monday, I'd certainly recommend filing a report with the police immediately. Though it's unlikely they'll be able to do much (unless you can provide them CCTV footage), there's no harm in trying and at the very least you'll be contributing to the number of bike thefts that are officially recorded which is only a good thing for better allocation of police resources etc. Also keep your eyes peeled on Gumtree/eBay/Facebook Marketplace/Shpock, even consider visiting Brick Lane Market tomorrow as that's a notorious spot for stolen bikes to be sold on. Also worth checking out the Stolen Bikes in London Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as stolen-bikes.co.uk where you can register it as stolen. Might be overboard but I even printed out a load of posters and stuck them up around my area and asked local business to keep an eye out.
Best of luck in the hunt!

Hi guys, my beloved bicycle recently got stolen from a private stairwell on Golden Lane Estate (London, EC1Y). The theft took place between 15:00-16:20 on 31st August (Bank Holiday Monday). I've only had it since May, but it's a custom build from an excellent guy up in Edinburgh where I study, and it's gotten a whole lot of use down in London/the Weald/East Anglia this summer so I've become really rather attached to it and had plans to continue upgrading it into a semi-gravel bike.
I'm heading back up to uni in a matter of days and am just trying everything I possibly can before then - so it would be hugely appreciated if anyone London-based (particularly in the City/Islington/Hackney sort of area) happens to come across it and could let me know!
If anyone can keep their eyes peeled - it's a 1980s newly-painted-black Orbea road frame (no decals other than a Columbus AELLE sticker, minor top tube scratches), riser bars with pink grips and pink front brake cable, brown gumwall Panaracer GravelKing tyres on aluminium rims, Brooks C15 AllWeather black saddle, Shimano cranks + brakes and SunTour derailleur. Please see the attached photos.
Please contact me on 07480 513 038 - thank you!
P.S. I see people including their crime ref numbers, is there any benefit in doing this? I would have assumed it should be kept private but seemingly not.
Potentially interested in the Albion jacket and Rapha merino jersey - sending a PM now!
