similar sized tyres under the same Bluemels, do they work ok for you?

Yeah they definitely rattle a bit and in the same spot as yours. Wider fender or stronger struts might help but I'm not worried as every single pair of Bluemels installed I've installed rattle at least a bit.

Gave in and installed proper mudguards yesterday. Used Ass Savers whenever it was wet before this but now that the proper shitty weather is here they're not enough.
Kona Sutra LTD 2020, 54, 2.25" Thunder Burts and 65mm SKS Bluemels. Older unused Ass Saver as a front flap.
I had to bodge the rear mudguard to the seat stay bridge without the original part because there's not too much clearance and it was too thicc.

This fucking sucks. For the longest time I wasn't content with my bike/bikes and only thing that helped was either changing the most of the parts or the whole bike.

29" and the price at BikeInn is really good..

on Bike24 the Race Kings are only 10€ more each though

Trying to decide on 2.2" tyres for gravel and bikepacking. Currently running Thunder Burts tubeless and I think I'd like a bit more sturdy tyre as these puncture quite easily. Looking for sturdy-ish and fast rolling, preferably light tyre.
Currently Vittoria Mezcals and Conti Race Kings are my top options. Any opinion on which to choose or secret third opinion?
Mezcals seem wildly popular currently and Race Kings were THE tyre a few years ago I hear.

tan wall option is a must.

Summer setup for 1-3 nights of camping.
Fork bag 1: tent and sleeping pad
    Fork bag 2: sleeping bag
Frame bag: tent poles, tools, spare tire, toilet paper, lezyne micro floor drive etc
Carradice: clothes, food and cooking kit, water filter, first aid, medicine, camp sandals, towel and other random stuff
Handlebar bag: candy, electronics, wallet, bluetooth speaker, lock
    Top tube bag: more candy
    Feed bag x2: bottles

Same stuff in a bit different order!

Fall and winter change things a bit and I might replace the handlebar bag with large Restrap handlebar bag.

Nice! I've been thinking of hybridizing my 2020 sutra ltd with flat bars! How do you rate the Mezcals? I want to replace my Thunder Burts with something a bit sturdier but fast rolling tires.
